A Restored California Interior in Nichols Canyon

Commune Design is a Los Angeles based design firm known for their holistic work from architecture, interior design, graphic design, product design and brand management. The firm is extremely environmentally friendly, this is shown by the materials they use in their designs and their appreciation for original architecture. 

Nichols Canyon

This home was first built in 1961 by Buff and Hensmen. Commune restored this home to its original floor plan. The unique exterior of the home incorporated reclaimed barn wood. The home is remote controlled and energy efficient.

An Eclectic Loft in Taiwan

It's time for some loft action. What initially caught my attention about this loft by Hao Design was that it had some special features for the couples cats. After reading that, the cement walls and floors, industrial lighting and furniture, rustic brick wall and wood beams,  and finally the black kitchen cabinets and white subway drew me in even further.

Two features for the cats are an inclosed window box for an optimal cat perch and an adorable cat door.
