A Studio Apartment in New York

Happy Monday!!
It's been awhile since I've checked out any New York apartments so when browsing through Lonny's archives of house tours, I came across this funky studio apartment and had to share it with you!!
Home to Ann Stephenson and Lori Scacco, this 370 square foot apartment oozes character. When the couple first moved into this Manhattan, East Village studio they did what they thought they were supposed to do. Went out and bought sleek modern cabinetry to hide all their belongings and small, apartment sized furniture to maximize their space. What they were left with was lifeless and sterile feeling nothing like home.
It was then they decided to break all the "small space" decorating rules and this is what resulted in that. Character and charm galore!! They brought in personal pieces from their upstate farmhouse such as one of their grandparents dining tables and art pieces collected over the years.
 Take a look around!!

Have a great weekend!!
