How to Wear White to Someone Else's Wedding

Happy Monday!!
O.K everyone, calm down! I didn't set out to find a white dress to wear to my friends Chris and Jenna's wedding, it just happened. I blame Top Shop for having this super-cool black and white dress that I fell in love with. Also, it's 2016 and I wasn't trying to look like a bride.
O.K now that that is out of the way, I'm a pretty modern chick but I still believe there are a few rules to wearing white to someone else's wedding.
Rules
#1- Don't wear anything resembling a wedding dress, if you do, your a crazy person
#2-Accessorize with colour, see my bag? Bright and not bridal
#3- If the bride is super traditional probably don't wear white
#4- text a pic to the bride and ask if it is ok.
