Our Journey Up the Coast of California

Hello from Morro Bay, California!! We are on our way to San Francisco but taking a few stops on the way!! This is Sam, he is our rental car. He's doing a great job. Once leaving LA we stopped for a night in Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara Zoo
We've had time to kill between checking out of our last hotel and into our new hotel so we thought we would visit the Santa Barbara Zoo. It was beautiful!! www.sbzoo.org

Castillo Inn
Our hotel was really pretty, white shutters on all the windows, brass antiqued hardware in the bathroom and a wrought iron bed.

Los Agaves
The BEST Mexican food I have ever had!! If you are ever in Santa Barbara you HAVE to go here!! www.los-agaves.com
 Andy's Lunch: Carne Azteca
Grilled New York steak accompanied with stuffed Anaheim peppers, grilled nopalito and chorizo, served with beans, avocado and three (3) homemade corn tortillas
 My Lunch: Tacos Del Mar
Two soft tacos on homemade corn tortillas, mango, cabbage & our homemade chipotle sauce, served with rice & house salad. Fresh halibut

Hearst Castle
We are currently in Morro Bay and yesterday we did a tour at the Hearst Castle. hearstcastle.org William Randolph Hearst's extravagant retreat La Cuesta Encantada Spanish for "Enchanted Hill" in San Simeon, California. This 165 room Castle was jam packed with W.R Hearst's legendary art collection.
They were selling these in the gift shop. Kinda cute..
Only a small part of the Castle

 Guest Houses

Inside the Castle
The sitting area, dining room and pool room. My photos don't do it justice at all! This place is ridiculous!! If your ever in the area I highly recommend to check it out!

 Tennis Courts
 Indoor Pool
We only saw a very small part of the Castle and I was extremely impressed! So extravagant!! We are now off to Monterey Bay.
Xoxo- Michelle
