Peru and dreamy bedrooms.

So it looks like I am going to travel this year! Now I just have to figure out where I'm gonna go. I have been told by my seasoned traveller friend Kate that South America is a cheap, amazing place to go. I've been looking at Peru.

AHHHH I want to go now!!! Here are some things you can do in Peru besides Machu Picchu (which I definitely want to do.)

Via http://travelingcanucks.com/2010/10/peru-attractions-other-than-machu-picchu-incan-city/

1. Hike the Colca Canyon

Colca Canyon’s claim to fame is that it’s twice as deep as the Grand Canyon.

I love hiking!!!!

2. Tour the floating islands of Lake Titicaca.

This offers an interesting perspective into the lives of Peru's aboriginal people. The islands are made entirely of reeds.

reed is a type of tall, grass-like plant of wet places. Thanks wikipedia!

3. Explore the Amazon Rainforest

4. Sand boarding giant sand dunes in Huacachina

The Peruvian desert oasis has become an increasingly popular tourist attraction for adventurers drawn to sand boarding and high speed dune buggy rides!

5. Surfing in Mancora

That is just the beginning of things to do. The thing that intrigues me the most about going there is so many of the exploring involves hiking which is my favorite thing to do! my friend Nigel used to call me Mountain Goat.

Ok, now a couple pretty pictures I saw on www.desiretoinspire.net today. Dreamy airy bedroom decor for a hot climate like Peru perhaps?

A dream bedroom!!

Ok, that is all.
